At The Yoga Barn we've created some fun ways for students who are new or
relatively new to yoga to experience our unique approach. FREE SUNDAYS
are offered once a month on Sunday afternoon, and are a great way to try us
out. Or, you can jump right into the Introductory Series, which are designed
specifically to accommodate the needs of those with no prior yoga
experience. These classes meet once a week, build gradually, with lots of
individual attention to help you stretch and strengthen your body, while
learning basic poses, breathing and relaxation techniques. Students should
wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows the body to move freely. We
recommend that you do not eat a heavy meal 1 - 1 1/2 hours before class
starts. Please, also refrain from wearing colognes or perfumes.
Please take a moment to fill out our registration and waiver form to bring with you to your first
visit to the Yoga Barn.
Pre-registration required for the Intro Series. Drop-ins welcome for FREE
SUNDAYS, although pre-registration will ensure your space.
Introductory classes are offered Monday morning and evening, Wednesday evening and Sunday at noon in Issaquah,
Tuesday evening in Fall City.

What is Yoga?

Yoga can help every body feel better. It reduces stress. It improves flexibility and muscle tone, increases circulation, relieves chronic pain and alleviates anxiety-related disorders. Best of all, it cultivates physical awareness, refreshes your energy, and offers a little vacation from the everyday grind. The word Yoga, ancient Sanskrit for "union," refers to the merging of the body, mind, and spirit. Classes at the Yoga Barn highlight that relationship, while also emphasizing education, personal wellness and relaxation.
Yoga encourages us to remove the physical and mental obstacles in our lives that create stress and take us out of balance. It supports us in developing personal practices that cultivate a sense of light, harmony, health, and well-being.
Who does Yoga?
Yoga benefits people of all ages, men and women, marathoners and the athletically challenged. Millions of people worldwide have embraced yoga as a way to manage life's physical and emotional difficulties, from chronic back pain to anxiety and depression.
Why The Yoga Barn?
Because yoga is what we do.
We have offered safe and inspirational yoga classes since 1992. For more than a decade, our team has been refining their skills with on-going training from internationally acclaimed yoga teachers. At the Yoga Barn, we devote 100% of our energy to creating a gentle, supportive environment, designed to give the greatest benefits possible by adapting the practice to meet your individual needs. At our studios, yoga goes beyond fitness; it's an educational process to help you develop a healthy relationship with your body, mind and heart. It's offered as a practical tool to bring you more vitality, health and joy.
Our Programs and Workshops
Because yoga can benefit every body, and every body is different, we have designed a wide range of classes that focus on various goals. Classes include pre- and postnatal yoga, yoga for kids, yoga conditioning for active adults, therapeutic yoga, and many more.
In addition to our regular series, we also offer periodic one-day workshops that target specific areas of common distress, such as: the neck and shoulders, and the lower back. These special events are an excellent way for newcomers to discover the advantages of yoga without a large initial time commitment.
The Yoga Barn offers a friendly, non-dogmatic environment where teachers aspire to facilitate each student's quest for personal health and spiritual well-being.
